The Team

Join our GPS team as a Treasury Sales Associate (TSA), partnering closely with Treasury Sales Officers (TSOs) and fellow Associates to deliver integrated treasury solutions to Large Corporate clients, including Italian headquartered organisations and EMEA treasury centres, with primary coverage across Italy.

You will play a key role in supporting the management and growth of client relationships across the full client lifecycle, from initial engagement through to onboarding and implementation, contributing to client acquisition, relationship deepening, and revenue growth within assigned portfolios.

This is a hands‑on, growth‑oriented role within a close‑knit, collaborative, and ambitious team that values innovation, diverse perspectives, and continuous learning. You will gain exposure to high‑profile regional and global clients, work across a broad treasury product set, and develop your career within a globally recognised institution at the forefront of treasury and payments innovation.

The product scope spans international Cash & Liquidity Management, Transactional FX, Merchant Acquiring Services, Commercial Cards, and Trade Finance — solutions that are foundational to the Bank’s most strategic client relationships and central to the success of the broader franchise. The role offers meaningful exposure to how these solutions are structured, positioned, and delivered in partnership with coverage and product teams.

As a TSA, you will assist in coordinating the Client Management Process (CMP), supporting client acquisition and the deepening of existing relationships through the identification of client needs. This includes leveraging product specialists, support partners, and internal resources to deliver industry, prospect, and client research to support pre‑call planning, client engagements, and solution development alongside TSOs.

To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate a strong client‑centric mindset, underpinned by a solid understanding of the Bank and the operational aspects of treasury products and services used by clients. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential, together with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, influence diverse perspectives, and identify what’s next in treasury management.

Responsibilities

As a TSA, you will be at the forefront of client engagement and solution delivery. Your responsibilities include:

Client Engagement & Sales Support

  • Partner with TSOs and Associates across the full sales lifecycle, coordinating the Client Management Process (CMP) from origination through to execution, from prospecting to deal delivery.

  • Contribute to relationship development, track and manage client contact strategies.

  • Keep clients informed about product enhancements and new capabilities.

Product & Solution Delivery

  • Collaborate with TSOs and product specialists to deliver tailored solutions across:

    • Cash & Liquidity Management

    • Transactional FX

    • Merchant Acquiring

    • Commercial Cards

    • Trade Finance

  • Support pricing discussions, including non‑standard pricing in partnership with TSOs, as well as client onboarding and solution implementation.

Research & Strategic Planning

  • Prepare for client meetings with industry and company research.

  • Assist with RFP responses and create impactful pitchbooks and presentations.

  • Analyse client data using internal tools to uncover insights and opportunities.

Operational & Process Support

  • Maintain data integrity across sales systems (pipeline, client plans, call reports).

  • Support credit facility and contract management.

  • Drive team efficiency and foster collaboration with TSOs and Treasury Sales Associates.

The TSA plays a critical role in connecting sales strategy, client engagement, and execution, operating as a trusted partner to TSOs while building deep treasury and client expertise.

What we are looking for

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in transaction banking, corporate banking, implementation, client service, or product management.

  • Execution Under Pressure: Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.

  • Organization & Prioritization: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Communication Skills: Clear and confident communicator across written, verbal, and presentation formats; adept at engaging via email, phone, video, and in person.

  • Client Orientation: Proven relationship-building skills and a client-first approach.

  • Adaptability & Initiative: Self-motivated, proactive, and flexible with a collaborative mindset.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and apply insights to deliver results.

  • Influencing & Advocacy: Independent and skilled in resolving client queries and ensuring compliance through effective advocacy.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Italian required.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools or financial platforms is a plus.

  • Learning Agility: Interest in treasury products and willingness to learn – we are looking for intellectually curious team-members.
